I stumbled upon author, Lori Deschene, in an interview with meditation teacher, Tara Brach. I was inspired by Lori’s wisdom and honesty, but most of all her transparency about being human. She didn’t shy away from connecting her past struggles to her present day insight and inspiration.

Lori is not only an author, but the founder of TinyBuddha, a self-help site that draws inspiration from contributors who share their stories and life lessons.

After the interview, I began visiting her site and fell in love with the stories and inspirational quotes.

One day I was perusing TinyBuddha and was captured by a link to submit a post. I put it on my list of monthly goals.

My nerves got the best of my and never wrote anything for January. At the end of February I nudged myself to write.

I sent my submission to TinyBuddha and an automated reply came back that I would hear in two weeks if my submission was accepted.

An hour later another email came through from the founder, Lori, that she loved my piece and wanted to include it on TinyBuddha.

Today I received an email from her that my post went live.
